Job Summary:  
PIC Group has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Owner’s Engineer supporting multiple generator outages for a 2000MW combined cycle power plant located in Qatar.  The Owner’s Engineer reports directly to the Site Manager and will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of generator related maintenance and capital projects, safeguarding the interests of the owner or client and maximizing the project's value and performance.  The Owner’s Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the work of field personnel performing routine maintenance on GE 9E, or similar GE large frame equipment, for the owner. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Coordinating and managing various engineering tasks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring they align with the client's objectives, budget, and timeline.
•    Providing technical expertise and guidance across different engineering disciplines relevant to the project, such as civil, mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering.
•    Reviewing engineering designs, specifications, and plans to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, as well as meeting the client's requirements.
•    Overseeing the selection, negotiation, and management of vendors, suppliers, and contractors involved in engineering activities, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services and materials.
•    Identifying potential risks and challenges related to engineering aspects of the project and developing strategies to mitigate them effectively, minimizing project delays and cost overruns.
•    Implementing quality control measures and conducting inspections to ensure that engineering work meets the required standards and specifications.
•    Providing regular progress reports to the client or project stakeholders, highlighting key engineering milestones, issues, and recommendations for corrective actions.
•    Ensuring that all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, codes, permits, and environmental standards, obtaining necessary approvals and permits as required.
•    Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and optimization of engineering solutions without compromising quality or safety.
•    Serving as the primary point of contact between the client and engineering teams, addressing any concerns or queries, and maintaining effective communication channels throughout the project.

Job Requirements:
•    Effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the project.
•    Extensive hands-on experience for maintaining GE 9E of 9FA large frame equipment, specifically for the generator stator, generator rotor, and generator ancillary equipment with the ability to spot issues on sight, as well as observing and correcting work real time.
•    Ability to interpret inspection and test findings related to generator inspections, electrical, mechanical, and visual.
•    Extensive knowledge in the means and methods to perform electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections performed on large frame generator stators and generator rotors.
•    Prior experience working with little to no supervision.
•    Exceptional ability to work efficiently, be adept at multitasking and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
•    Proven excellence in maintaining relationships with customers, coworkers, and administrators.
•    Extensive knowledge of safety practices and utilization of these practices to provide a safe work environment for all.
•    Skilled with various computer systems and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements:
•    Duties require walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time, climbing vertical and inclined ladders and stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
•    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
•    Must be able to use protective equipment correctly (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, gloves, vests, etc.).
•    Capable of managing temperature extremes.

Education / Experience:
•    HS Diploma required, engineering degree from an accredited college is preferred.
•    Prior training and certification from GE or similar OEM is preferred.
•    10+ years of experience as an Owner’s Representative, Technical Advisor, Onsite Project Outage Manager or similar experiences.
•    10+ years of experience in maintaining GE9E or similar GE large frame generator stators, generator rotors, and ancillary generator equipment.
