PAY IS $38/HR WITH A PER DIEM OF $137/ DAY


Job Description:


Responsible for fitting pipe consisting of various materials such as steel, galvanized, copper, copper-nickel and stainless along with the appropriate valves and fittings

Utilize various tools and equipment in accordance with drawing, arrangements and blue prints.

Work at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day.


The ideal candidate:


Must have at least 3 years of Pipefitting experience

Preferably will have shipyard experience


Testing: every monday on site at the client site


64 question written test, you have 90 minutes to finish. questions consist of:

"Which way does the flow go on a globe valve?" Which way does it go on a check valve"


Adding and subtracting fractions and feet/inches- example 30'-2 ½…. MUST BE ABLE TO CONVERT MILLIMETERS…THEY LET YOU USE A BASIC CALCULATOR

Find the travel of a 45 degree offset with only wither the run or set

Read tape measure

Read a take out chart correctly for different fillings

Understand blueprint and locate different valves and figure out how far away from the frame they are


Hands on test- you have 45 minutes to complete

1 1/2'' PVC.. you build a detail and the only give you the center to center length between each fitting and you have to figure out the length to cut based on the fittings . It will show you on the drawings what the finished product is supposed to look like
