Dock Hull Erection Supervisor

$32.00 - $34.00 per hour
$150.00 Per Diem offered, if eligible
$400.00 Travel Pay
Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the construction and assembly of ship hulls in a shipyard. This role typically involves:
- Coordinating the various stages of hull construction, from initial fabrication to final assembly.
- Supervising a team of workers and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Inspecting the quality of work and materials to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Managing the schedule and workflow to meet project deadlines.
- Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations specific to shipyard operations.
- Collaborating with other supervisors and departments to optimize production processes.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years' professional experience: in shipyards with shipbuilding production or ship repair.
- Experience in welding inspection, material receiving inspection, fit-up inspection, block welding inspection, tank air and hydraulic tests, non-destructive testing (NDE) supervision, and steel outfitting inspection1. Proficiency in relevant software and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are often essential for this position.
