Job Description: WE REALLY NEED CANDIDATES THAT KNOW SMT & HAND SOLDERING INSIDE OUT.
DUTIES >> ***** May require security clearance in the future. Please do
not submit candidates if you cannot provide secret clearance.
**** We need someone with STRONG assembly skills who has assembled/soldered/fabricated cables. Must have fine pitch surface mount skills (20-25 mil). Need to be able to read schematic and engineer level documentation. Needs to be able to identify components. THE CANDIDATES WILL BE TESTED ON THIS DURING INTERVIEWS! Extensive soldering experience.
Under general direction, performs diversified but semi-repetitive engineering support assignments following standardized methods and procedures under changing conditions. Assignments are moderate complexity requiring the exercise of some discretion and limited use of judgment and initiative. Work is performed under the guidance and direction of senior technicians or professional staff members. Activities include: Assembles of PCBs, Cables, Test boxes, etc. Supports system level assembly/integration activities. Produces SMT and TH assemblies using manual soldering equipment and tools.

**Emphasis is more on the assembly soldering. Need someone with excellent SMT hand soldering and rework skills. Working in engineering environment and familiarity/training to NASA soldering standards is highly desirable.
Job requires excellent soldering skills to produce high quality assemblies. Ability to use mechanical assembly tools to produce cables and other products is required. Ability to coordinate and work with verbal and high level documentation is necessary. Ability to read and understand written documents, standards and procedures is a must. Familiar or recurring work is assigned in general terms. Detailed instructions are given for new lines of work or special.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, good dexterity, and hand and eye coordination are required. Experience and training in NASA soldering and ESD guidelines/standards is preferred along with experience in Aerospace and defense applications.

EDUCATION >> Requires: High School or equivalent training, with 5 yr
experience.
