Position is a hybrid of Customer Service and Contracts manager. There will be no bidding or development of the contracts - - will manage the back-end !

Job Description: Reviews incoming customer requests for proposals, identifies proposal requirements, reviews terms and conditions for acceptability and compliance with company policies and procedures, assists in proposal development as required and participates in securing required management approval for submittal of proposals to customers. Participates in proposal reviews and approvals. Briefs management on Terms and Conditions. Review contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as, assessing risk and impact to the proposal utilizing the Company resources including legal, operations, and pricing, as necessary. Provide alternate terms and conditions to Customer. Operates in accordance with company policies and practices, and in compliance with accepted business ethics. Conducts contract negotiation and management of major contracts. Responsible for negotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with customers and/or partners. Works with sales, finance and service teams as well as the legal department to structure contracts. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements. Provides contract status and assistance to the program manager, functional areas, and management. Takes proper action to close out the contract in accordance with applicable procedures at the conclusion of all activity. Assures the timely communication of contract information to appropriate persons and maintains complete and accurate contract files. Acts as principal interface with internal/external customers on contractual matters. Takes necessary action or coordinates action to resolve any contractual problems with the contract execution team in a timely manner. Normally receives little instruction on day to day work, general instructions on new assignments.
Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion. May provide guidance and coaching to lower level contracts employees. Bachelor's Degree in appropriate discipline or six years related experience plus four years of related exempt experience.

Writing - Produces reports and proposals that are clearly and concisely written.

Additional Job Information: -ensures contract requirements are met -tracks backorders
- Previous SAP and DCMA experience preferred
- Government contracting background required -provides weekly repair/ retrofit status to the customer -customer point of contact / customer interface -inputs repair contracts into SAP -ensures contract shipping dates are met -reviews and updates data in support of the following: unbilled shippers; funding vs actuals -prepares shipping documents: DD250s, commercial, delivery w/out reference,1138, 1149 -works with DCMA; contract mods, closing contracts, etc -archive of contractual materials per contract and FAR regulations -Responsible for Import / Export issues on assigned program -reviews performance requirements and customer specifications -works with external vendor issues.
-responsible for accounting indicators (warranty, T&M, etc) -performs billing review -maintains customer databases as required
