Job Description: Software Engineer – Government Systems – Weapons Sensors Engineer Description Summary:
This position is for a Software Engineer on the NavFire Engineering team.
The successful candidate will work on a multifunctional team consisting of software, systems and hardware engineers. The focus of the NavFire Engineering team is to promote the integration of our Weapons GPS receivers with navigation and flight control algorithms. Candidate will work in a team environment and follow engineering processes.

Specific responsibilities of this position span all phases of software development including: software requirements capture; architecture design; implementation; software integration and verification testing; support to system integration and verification testing; and customer support. This position will focus on developing real-time embedded software for the Mission Processor in C/C++, specifically designing and developing hardware device drivers.

Knowledge and Skills:
• Experience with C/C++
• Experience with real-time embedded software • Device driver design and development • Experience with Linux REQUIRED • Experience debugging with GNU Debugger • Experience with TI OMAP microprocessors • Bachelor’s Degree in applicable engineering or science field or Bachelor’s Degree in applicable engineering or science field plus 2 years of related exempt experience preferred but not required • Strong Analytical skills • Experience with configuration management tools (ClearCase, ClearQuest,
Subversion) - preferred
• Working knowledge of MS Office Apps (WordExcelPower Point) • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
