Looking forward to receiving an updated copy of your resume. This position is located in Texas and is going to be a 6 month contract position.

Job Description: All candidates must answer the 4 questions below to be considered

PROJECT:
The selected contractor shall support a team performing analysis, generating trade studies, and mock-up development for a weight reduction initiative for a DoD Avionics platform. The areas to be addressed include:

Weight and Balance; Strength/Stress; Human Systems Interfaces and Workstation Design; Reliability and Maintability; Safety; E3 and Tempest issues; Cooling and Thermal Design; Electrical Loads; Cost; Logistics; and Producability.

POSITION:
Candidate will perform detailed design and documentation of integration kits for airborne avionics and communication systems.

REQUIRED:
Must have experience designing airborne communication and power systems on DoD programs ( minimum 2 yrs) • Must have design, development, installation, and test experience in aircraft electrical interconnect and power distribution subsystems ( minimum 2 yrs) • Must have design experience in selection and documentation of Mil connectors, cabling and harnesses. ( minimum 2 yrs) • Must have design experience in the development of schematics, block diagrams, and other reference documentation used to procure electrical integration kits. ( minimum 2 yrs) • Experience in development and assessment of electrical loads analysis at a platform level ( minimum 2 yrs) • Working knowledge of EMI/EMC and TEMPEST design constraints also required. ( minimum 2 yrs) • Do not need an active clearance in order to be submitted, but they must be able to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance • Candidate must have good communication skills and be able to interface with team members, subcontractors and customers.

• Prior experience performing analysis in two or more of the areas identified in the description above, and generating trade studies from that analysis.

PLEASE NOTE: The most important thing is either DoD avionics integration experience or Boeing/Airbus jet integration experience. We are not seeking candidates who have worked engines or structures (specialists), but rather individuals who have integrated 2 or more of the subsystems into the avionics environment.

PREFERRED:

• Additional experience in data acquisition systems and RF systems a plus.
