Job description
Under the direction of the Independent V&V Director, these positions are responsible for participating in and/or leading the design review and verification, requirements tracing, execution of software V&V plan, scheduling, test planning, test specifications and procedures preparation and reports generation to ensure the safety related digital I&C systems meet customer requirements and are compliant with IEEE Std 1012-1998, QA policies and relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and executing V&V test plans and compiling results in accordance with IEEE Std 1012-1998.
Work with cross-functional team to develop software component, software integration and system test plans, and test specifications/procedures.
Execute tests per test procedures and generate test reports.
Participate in independent design reviews and verifications to ensure high standards are met.
Participate in requirements traceability analysis to ensure that the system/software requirements are complete, correct and consistent.
Effectively communicate and present findings, problems, and solutions within the team including recommendations for actions.
Using Anomaly Tracking System, report and/or resolve V&V issues.
Undertake a range of analyses and assessments in the program environment.
Generate and verify various V&V task reports, V&V activity summary reports and V&V final report.
Monitors and mentors junior Engineers as required (for senior positions).
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
BS, MS or Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
New graduates must have an average of GPA greater than 3.5.
0-10 years of experience in V&V of digital I&C or complex software and hardware systems.
Positive attitude with team working spirit.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong desire for excellence and detail-oriented.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Other Skills/Abilities
Self-motivated person that can work individually and lead team projects.
A self-starter with a strong desire to learn new concepts and adapt quickly.
Ability to analyze technical requirements and systems/software architecture.
Ability to work on multi-tasks.
For conducting requirements tracing activities, it is required that the candidates must be skillful at the DOORS tool.
