PDS TECH is seeking a Electrical Engineer I for an open position in Tucson, AZ.


Program Sustaining Engineer/Production Support Engineer. Support electronics hardware as a Responsible Engineering Authority (REA), responsible for developing and maintaining the Technical Data Package to ensure performance, affordability and producibility requirements are met.

The REA also ensures that delivered hardware meets all allocated requirements. Perform analog, digital, mixed signal, and power system circuit analysis, including DC line loss, transients, power budgeting, design margin assessment, signal integrity, etc. Work with engineering and production personnel to provide factory support, troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and component levels.

Support resolution of producibility issues on production lines and in testing, and at suppliers and provide root cause feedback to development Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and system architects.

Provide Integration Lab support, reviewing electrical test procedures and data, troubleshooting hardware and process issues to provide technical guidance to integration team.

Provide general electrical design services, including design and implementation of analog, digital, power, and mixed signal and harness designs to support special missile tests as required.

Prepare technical presentations for and represent program engineering in Failure Review Boards, Change Control Boards, and formal Design Reviews.

Perform root cause analysis of production issues and develop/implement corrective actions, including design changes.

Characterize and model electrical signals of electronics subsystems using simulation, verifying and troubleshooting circuit performance.

Review designs periodically for obsolescence issues, perform trade studies, and recommend/implement changes as required.

Maintain and implement design changes in electrical Technical Data Packages and requirements/specifications.

Strong analytical and written and verbal communication skills required.

Must be able to take the lead in completing high visibility tasks, and work in a fast-paced team environment, requiring only general direction
