The individual will conduct an internal audit of the Oracle and the SQL Server database management system environment at. The review will focus on security relative to the general control environment, rather than controls specific to each application. Areas of review will include but not be limited to passwords and ID controls, authentication, propriety of privileges and roles including DBA privileges, user profiles, system initiation/start-up, use of database tools such as SQL Plus, database access path through host operating system, data dictionary, logging and monitoring, administration, proprietary of and compliance with technical standards, and segregation of duties.

The individual needs to have a strong knowledge of security and controls relative to Oracle and SQL Server database management systems. Ideally the candidate should have experience conducting internal or external audits of these systems. If the individual does not have audit experience, then strong security, consulting, and/or assurance review experience may be an acceptable substitute. The candidate should also have at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably a degree in MIS, Computer Science, or General Business. A working knowledge of Microsoft applications is also required, as are excellent analytical, written and decision making skills.
