Business Systems Analyst: HR Payroll -- Columbus OH -- $48 PH -

12 month project
•Participate in the “Define Concept” phase of project justification and planning, refining high level business requirements and coordinating within the IT organization to build accurate effort-level estimate assessments.
•Act as a lead in the “Requirements” phase of projects, gathering and documenting detailed business requirements and developing accurate and complete functional specifications to satisfy those needs.
•Refine business requirements, as necessary, during “Design” and “Development” project phases to facilitate the creation of sound technical solution designs.
•Coordinate and ensure timely communication with related Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) Centers of Excellence (COEs) that set standards, govern compliance, and/or have direct roles in the successful execution of projects.
•Research scope, timeline, and cost impacts arising from requests for change (RFCs) that arise during projects. Gather and document: detailed business requirements, alternative solutions (pros/cons), risks, and associated levels of effort to accommodate the requested change. Work with project managers and supporting teams to capture and include impacts to cost and timeline in the assessment.
•Participate in the gathering of test scenarios, test coordination, planning, and execution as needed during the “Testing” phase.
•Assist in ensuring procedural alignment of project process with established EIT standards.
•Actively participate in solution deployment planning, coordination, and execution.
•Support the transition of completed projects and providing adequate knowledge transfer to drive smooth post-implementation and on-going support.
•Support and monitor HR related data and interfaces both internal to Cardinal Health applications and outside vendors.
•Support data confidentiality of HR information and new HR initiatives.
•Maintain relationships and coordinate activities between HR and EIT.
•Collaborate with clients to anticipate their needs and business challenges.
•Other duties or special projects as assigned.

•Must possess excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.
•Must have demonstrated organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
•Must have basic training and presentation skills.
•Must have a good understanding of Human Resources and Payroll business processes and supporting technical systems.

•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, MIS, CIS or equivalent work related experience required.
•Prior work history should include 3+ years in supporting HR/Payroll business systems and processes.

•Assess the HR/Payroll business process implications of solution design decisions and actions.
•Know the core directional themes for HR talent acquisition and management in the marketplace.
•Understand the Cardinal Health business priorities and how EIT priorities and processes support them.

•Possess functional and technical knowledge and skills to consistently perform at a high level of competency.
•Collaborate effectively within own team and across segments, functions and organizations to achieve team goals.
