Position Description: Analysis, design, programming and support of Power Generation Division (PGD) data warehouse applications in the Wind Energy business area.
Interact with PGD customers to determine system requirements and develop functions to support the Energy Wind.
Devises new solutions to problems encountered.
Performs most assignments with instruction only regarding general expected results.
Receives technical guidance only for unusual or complex problems. Ability to work independently to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate own assignments and collaborate as technical liaison to individuals and groups both within and outside the company with responsibility to act independently as needed.
Working experience with Cognos data mining software, Informatica PowerCenter data integration software and Oracle data base.

Position Requires: Bachelors – Computer Science or equivalent.

Qualifications:
Excel - Competent;
Word - Competent;
Power Point - Competent;
Lotus Notes - Competent;
BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 2-3 years related experience preferred.
Four to five years of experience required.
Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) qualification is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills required.
Project management experience preferred.
Must have basic knowledge of and experience in data warehouse development, including dimensional modeling, star schemas, ETL, BI authoring tools (Cognos).
Thorough understanding of relational databases, with strong knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Experience with real-time data acquisition systems a plus.

Local candidates preferred.
