Area Superintendent - Refurbishment at the TVA Project in Spring City, TN.

Position Duties

• Assigned to a field construction organization in a supervisory capacity.
• Responsible for supervising and directing operations within assigned discipline or area.
• Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents and others, as assigned.
• Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
• Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.

Responsibilities

• Refurbishment and modification activities as related to WBN U2 completion project.
• Compliance with ES&H procedures, RADCON and work control procedures is
• required
• Determine manpower requirements.
• Schedule work to be performed.
• Development of plans, schedules and budgets to support refurbishment
• Assist in the development of and management of subcontracts involved with the refurbishment activities
• Prepare reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, job manpower forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
• Implementation of corporate/project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned operations.
• Coordinate activities with other disciplines or areas, and clients resident representatives as instructed by construction management.
• Ensures that all Bechtel, State and Federal safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied within as-signed area of responsibility.

Qualifications

1. B.S. in Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience 10+ years of total experience
2. Familiarity with Refurbishment or Insulation
3. Knowledge of Nuclear standards and procedures
4. Good computer skills plus a working knowledge of current industry quality construction procedures and standards
5. Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted site access
6. Must have a valid U. S. Drivers License
7. Must be able to climb ladders and able to handle the wearing of protective clothing to prevent contamination
8. Must have the right to work and remain in the United States
9. Supervisory experience
10. Prior nuclear power plant maintenance and refurbishment management experience. e.g. Air Handling Units, Breakers, Electrical Equipment, Instruments, Motors, pumps, solenoids, and valves
11. Experience in Construction Quality Audits

Grade 27 will be considered depending on qualifications.
