As a Construction Laborer for Insituform you will be providing assistance in the rehabilitation and repair of municipal, industrial, storm and sanitary sewer lines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work effectively with supervisors and peers in the successful rehabilitation and repair of a variety of sewer lines
Direct operators of construction equipment with alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery to conform to location needs
Drive various vehicles (pickups to tractor-trailer rigs) to haul crews and equipment
Assist in initial setup and cleanup of sites
Review entry and work permits; and assists in the review of pre and post installation videos
Initiate the process of acquiring CDL
Other tasks, as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred; minimum of 2 years experience as laborer preferred
License Requirement:
Possess, or obtain within 90 days of hire, a CDL with required endorsements, compliant with ITI's motor vehicle record standards
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to listen and comprehend instructions accurately
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

In the performance of duties for this position, the employee is: regularly required to sit, talk, and hear; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and taste or smell; regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 75 pounds). Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability for extended concentration. Must be able to enter confirmed space and comply with safety policies.
Work Environment:
In performing the duties for this job, the employee will generally work outside (at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations). Will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. Travel by automobile and airplane required.
