Construction Project Manager
Manages multiple customer projects for communications site and construction responsibilities to include: preparation of project schedules from conceptual design through implementation, qualification of sub-contractors, selection and coordination of suppliers, acquisition and assignment of resources (vehicles, personnel, equipment, and project schedules), supervision and leadership of assigned personnel, enforcement and supervision of safety requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and grow customer relationships to expand market share and build market recognition.
Meet with the customers on a regular basis and provide continual updates regarding project status and issues to effectively manage customer expectations.

• Responsible for understanding and educating internal staff and subcontractors all customer requirements, scopes, deliverables and timelines;

• Effectively manages internal crews, site supervisors and subcontractors to ensure efficient and effective workforce utilization.

• Develops plans that are appropriate, comprehensive and effective in the scheduling of crews and subcontractors for the successful completion of work.

• Manages and helps coordinate the recruitment of internal staff to minimize subcontractor reliance for construction and operation activities.

• Responsible for ordering and coordination of all required jobsite material, tools, rental equipment and other related equipment required for the successful completion of each job.

• Provides crews, site supervisors and subcontractors with required documentation to complete jobs and tasks effectively including, but not limited to – work orders, scope of work, construction drawings, bill of materials, customer timelines; and customer required status and closeout documentation requirements.

• Accountable for jobs and tasks being completed on time with high quality, on or ahead of budget.

• Responsible for close coordination with the Operations Manager for the scheduling and completion for operational activities (site walks, pre-construction walks, post construction audits, maintenance repairs/visits/inspections, lighting repairs, capital upgrades) at multiple locations.

• Manages all aspects of subcontractor relations (qualification, negotiation, selection, evaluation, performance, etc.) Responsible for ensuring multiple bids are utilized, bulk deals are negotiated when practical, and driving down all subcontractor costs.

• Actively manages job costs to meet or exceed budget for direct and direct expenses. Understands and analyzes all daily, weekly and monthly financial, status, labor and other job related reports to effectively control costs and maximize profitability.

• Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of general administrative work including daily reports, safety reports, purchase order requests, change order requests, and invoice requests, customer status and closeout documentation, and ATC customer status and closeout documentation.

• Accountable for ensuring that all employees receive required applicable training including FAA/FCC, Competent Climber, Tower Rescue, OSHA, EME Awareness, CPR/First Aid, FOM and DOT.

• Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures as well as additional legal regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Organized with a strong attention to detail
Extensive knowledge as safety analyst
Demonstrated computer proficiency
Dynamic, team player, self starter, results-oriented
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
• Supervision and performance review of Supervisors, Foreman, Tower Techs and Project Coordinators
Talent review and resource allocation of direct reports

• Identify and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with HR and recommend changes in personnel

• Communicates oral and written information accurately, concisely, and in a form appropriate to the target audience.

• Consistently strives to create, develop and implement additional procedures, systems, programs, and processes aimed at continuous improvement, quality, and customer enhancement.

• Functions proactively and persistently in the face of obstacles/change establishing both short-term and long-term operations and customer service strategies to meet present and future project needs.
