Cost Analyst
Location – Toronto, ON

Position Summary
Reporting to the Program Budget Superintendent, this position is responsible for the development, recommendation and implementation of Program Financial Reporting Infrastructure.

Responsibilities
•Develops, recommends and implements robust financial reporting control processes and financial infrastructure
•Incorporates Best Practices from industry, pertaining to financial systems reporting for large capital projects
•Supports the coordination and development of Program and Project financial reporting systems, control systems and budget administration
•Provides recommendations for financial reporting formats, tools and templates to satisfy program requirements
•Prepares structured analysis, reports and presentations to support program financial recommendations
•Supports the Program Budget Superintendent in developing and implementing budget control systems and monitoring systems for monthly cash flows and burn rates
•Supports the consistency and integrity of financial control across the full scope of the program
•Manages the integrated, financial accounting and reporting of capital elements
•Manages professional accounting assignments, including development of business cases and implementing approved process improvements

Requirements
•Approximately 15+ years of experience in project/program financial control, reporting and/or analysis
•Professional financial accounting designation, such as CGA, CMA or CA
•Experienced in developing, recommending and implementing financial infrastructure for large complex capital programs
•Significant financial control/analysis/reporting experience with multi-year capital projects
•Experienced in large organizations, establishing and maintaining structured financial infrastructure with significant reporting requirements
•Experience with public sector projects
