Job Objectives
To prepare and permanently install precise instruments that measure, indicate, transmit, record
and control.
Essential Job Functions
▪ Assemble, mount, and install control panels, instruments, and sensing devices.
▪ Plan layout and installation according to manufacturer instructions and specifications.
▪ Assemble and install instrument stands, brackets, trays, clamps, and hangers.
▪ Measure, cut, thread, and install small-bore piping for pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
▪ Perform pressure testing of installed tubing and small-bore pipe.
▪ Read drawings, schematics, isometrics, etc.
▪ Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment and instrumentation (both
installed and pre-installed).
▪ Prepare and record installation documents.
