Since 1986, ASBECO has been an industry leader in mechanical conveyor installations nationwide. We are looking for Mechanical Superintendents to execute our projects.

Purpose
Responsible for successful quality and timely completion of responsible projects. Supervises field foreman and technicians.

Responsibilities
-Responsible for assisting with quoting
-Responsible for ensuring that all projects are done to ASBECO standards
-Responsibility for overseeing the installation of conveyors
-Responsible for overseeing the detailing process
-Responsible for ensuring that proper documents are completed when appropriate
-Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; preferably in different geographic regions or states
-Demonstrated ability to manage spending on projects, from budgetary projections to in-progress reports, and final analysis
-Proven track record of mentoring potential future leaders
-Proven track record of managing more than 15 workers at a job site
-Ability to work well under pressure, including tight deadlines and challenging situations
-Ability to maximize the productivity of crew while maintaining safety and morale
-Selection of appropriate sub-contractors and independent contractors; familiarity with the challenges faced by supervising employees, independent contractors, and sub-contractors
-Experience performing staff evaluations
-The ability to lead as well as to perform as part of a team
-Performs other duties as assigned

-Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans
-Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them

Education, License, and Experience
-Some college preferred
-A minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience in the mechanical installation of material handling systems
-Must be able to read drawings and schematics
-Must be willing to travel 100%Must be able to operate a wide variety of heavy equipment (lull, cranes, etc.)
