Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Design Engineering Manager opportunity in East TN.

Work Location: On-site
Per Diem: Per Diem is available for those who qualify

Job Duties:
Assemble multidiscipline design team to perform full design for infrastructure design projects, develop project schedule and cost, deliver design on time and on budget
Ensures engineering resource and capability assigned to deliver capital projects are technically fit for purpose and meet requirements.
Responsible for project engineering and design strategies, through supplier selection and evaluation, to direct delivery of engineering/design scope for selected projects.
Combines solid generalist understanding of a wide range of engineering disciplines ensuring the management of multiple engineering disciplines which shall deliver integrated design solutions of high complexity and value
Will develop good working relationships with the site, regulators, contractors and critical vendors will be essential
Plans and directs all design and technical resources
Manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs.
Develops and implements engineering/design strategies, suitable to deliver against projects objectives for assigned projects
Ensures design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and applicable codes.
Reports on project t performance against the baseline plan and stated benefits of the project
Works in conjunction with the site Engineering director  and Construction Managers to ensure that all engineering work meet the quality and constructability.
Ensures that design and construction reviews are carried out in accordance with company
Works within the time schedules, man-hour budgets, project requirements, and specifications established for the project  
 
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline.
10+ years of full design project lifecycle experience
5+ years of experience managing a multi-discipline design team
Professional Engineering (PE) preferred.
Ability to analyze project requirements and critical success factors and translate these into bespoke Engineering/Design Strategies
Demonstrable ability to convey the strategy and build a team accountable for delivery of the project
Skilled in leading project teams on implementing the Engineering/Design strategy and deliver against appropriate objectives with minimal supervision
Proven track record in managing design projects on time and within cost
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance. Active DOE or DOD clearance is a plus.
United States citizenship is required.
