Radiological Waste Shipper - Q Cleared - East, TN - 8290

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Radiological Waste Shipper opportunity in East TN.

Per diem is available for those who qualify.

Candidate must have a working knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and radioactive waste management pertaining to the packaging and management of hazardous, radioactive, and mixed waste.

This position requires an Active or recently Inactive DOE Q Clearance.

Job Details

Interface with on-site waste generators to develop solutions to technical problems associated with radiological waste shipping.
Provide direction to waste generators for adherence to on-site and off-site waste acceptance criteria.
Prepare sampling and analysis plans in accordance with EPA guidance documents and sw-846.
Interpret laboratory analysis data and characterize material for disposal in accordance with applicable regulations and disposal/treatment facility's waste acceptance criteria.
Plan, manifest, and coordinate shipments of radioactive and hazardous wastes to disposal sites.

Qualifications:
3-5 years of nuclear waste management and shipping experience.
Working knowledge of 49 CFR transportation of hazardous materials, IATA and EPA RCRA regulations.
Strong understanding of radioactive waste management pertaining to packaging and shipping hazardous, radioactive, and mixed waste.
