A native of Baton Rouge and resident of Denham Springs, he passed away at 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, at Ochsner of Baton Rouge at age 69. He proudly served his country in the Navy. Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until funeral service in the chapel at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Wes Courtney. Burial in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Joy T. Covington; daughter, Shannon Covington Fuentes and her husband, Jamie; son, Craig Covington; brother, Marion Covington; grandchildren, Chase Swann, Dustin Covington, Codi Covington, Shea Covington, Matthew Fuentes and Tommy Fuentes; and aunt, Lois Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy C. and Carter Lamm Covington; and uncle, Joe Bennett. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Wiginton, Brad Rose, Blaine Covington, Dwaye Richard, Ricky Guba and Gerald Rutherford. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Hebert and Hal Rasberry.[/img] |
