[Construction Manager] GSP Construction Manager

We're seeking a seasoned construction manager to oversee project activities, primarily focusing on a fire protection project. You will ensure safety and environmental compliance, coordinate with project managers, station personnel, and contractors, and prepare daily or weekly reports. Experience in power stations is required, and fire protection experience is a plus. The role may involve assisting with station permitting, including DDCs, LOTO, and Hot Work.

Work Schedule and Compensation:

Expected work hours: 5/10s, with occasional overtime during outage periods.
$500 mobilization and demobilization bonus, each paid at the start and end of the assignment.
Per diem is available for qualified candidates, based on GSA CONUS guidelines.
Responsibilities:

Ensure safety and environmental compliance in all construction activities.
Maintain a presence on the job site for at least 80% of the project duration to monitor quality and resolve conflicts.
Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with project managers and contractors to ensure work is completed according to the Scope of Work (SOW).
Provide feedback to management on project status and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:

Power station experience is required.
General knowledge of construction practices, equipment utilization, and work scheduling.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Skilled in reading and interpreting technical documents, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with OSHA scaffolding requirements and industry safety practices.
Minimum 7 years of industry experience, with at least 3 years in construction management.
OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
