Job Summary:  
The Control Room Operator will be responsible for monitoring a variety of power generation technologies and configurations from PIC Group’s Remote Operations Center in Atlanta, GA. This full-time role provides a significant career opportunity for the successful candidate in one of the key growth areas of PIC Group’s expanding business. The Remote Operations Center (ROC) combines state-of-the-art technology with Control Room Operations for unmatched control capability. A versatile platform for all technologies, such as renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro), reciprocating engines, simple cycle, aero derivative, combined cycle, and process equipment, the ROC provides centralized location for operations and monitoring of projects around the globe. SCADA and operations training will be available as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    The Control Room Operator will be accountable for the safe, reliable, and compliant operations including monitoring, startup, and shutdown of multiple power generation technologies that may include Reciprocating Engines, Wind Turbines, Photo Voltaic Solar Units, and/or Gas Turbines.
•    The Control Room Operator will support the integration of various existing control systems with the Remote Operating Center’s (ROC) SCADA system.
•    Work within the SCADA software platform to remotely monitor, startup, shutdown and reset a variety of power generation systems.
•    Perform system maintenance and operational changes / improvements under an established Management of Change (MOC) process.
•    Provide proactive system support, working closely with our customers and our Operations center.
•    Troubleshoot software and system components, from field device communication to the data historian, using available in-house and online support resources.
•    Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.

Job Requirements:
•    Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions.

Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to walk, reach, climb, stoop, and lift (up to 50 pounds).

Education / Experience:
•    Power plant control room operation experience desired
•    Experience working with Microsoft Office suite of products
•    Sponsorship is not available.
