Title:                   Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy

Job Summary:  
PIC Group has an excellent opportunity supporting new business opportunities for the Renewable Energy Division at our client’s Houston corporate office.  Reporting to the VP of Renewable Energy, the Business Development Manager will support new utility-scale renewable energy generation projects from project identification, financial closing and start of construction. Some projects may be involved with consortium of stakeholders.  Excellent pay, up to 30% annual bonus, relocation assistance, and benefits with opportunity for career advancement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Manage the identification of prospective utility-scale renewable energy projects that possess suitable electric transmission access and site characteristics.
•    Establish and maintain relationships with market participants, including developers and independent power producers (IPPs), to identify potential projects.
•    Take responsibility for managing the project pipeline and providing progress reports as required. 
•    Conduct financial analysis and modeling for the projects.
•    Monitor and analyze power market dynamics and relevant regulatory discussions.
•    Manage the financing strategy for projects, including tax equity arrangements.
•    Lead and execute development activities for assigned project(s), from inception to shovel-ready status.
•    Manage the internal project development team, ensuring alignment of workstreams with project schedule and budget, while motivating the team to efficiently pursue project goals.
•    Coordinate with contractors and consultants to prepare various studies (environmental, technical, financial, etc.) required for the project, in collaboration with external legal and financial advisors. 

Job Requirements:
•    Experience of transactions for finance arrangement for renewable energy project
•    Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software 
•    Good business acumen and working knowledge of transactions for finance arrangement.
•    Knowledge and experience for finance arrangement such as tax equity, project finance
•    Must have a valid driver's license.
•    Problem-solving skills and high attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
•    Adapt to environmental and workflow changes.
•    Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
•    Ensure timely collection of documentation for a complete submittal
•    Travel to sites and client offices 10% - 30%.

Physical Requirements:
•    Sitting/Standing/Flexibility Ability to stand and sit for eight (8) or more hours in an office.


Education / Experience:
•    Business degree required – Business Law degree is preferred.
•    Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
•    8+ years of business development or other relevant experience
•    Knowledge and experience of projects for renewable energy business
•    Experience needed with business financial analysis and modeling for projects.
