Aerotek CE is seeking qualified candidates for a permanent opportunity as a Research/Design Engineer in the Elizabethtown, KY area.

This person will be responsible for: product conception, component/assembly design, detailed part modeling, prototype builds, testing, finite element analysis, work with vendors to procure components, and work with manufacturing facility to set up process and get new products into production.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience:
-Minimum of a 4 year engineering degree (mechanical preferred)
-5 or more years in a research and development or new product design role
-Proficient with ANSYS software for finite element analysis
-Experience with 3D modeling software (Solidworks preferred)
-Firearms industry, weapon systems, or gunsmith experience
