Quality Control Inspector

Inspects purchased or manufactured parts, materials, and subassemblies used to make medical devices or their subassemblies. Detects defective or nonconforming components.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Uses written instructions, engineering drawings, measuring instruments and/or test equipment to determine whether parts/materials meet the established dimensional specifications or possess specific required attributes.
Performs all required tests and inspections in compliance with the applicable written procedures, and accurately records the data.
Accurately tags materials to indicate quality inspection status.
Monitors, on a daily basis, the calibration status of tools and equipment used.
With experience, assists in the resolution of technical problems.
Works at a reasonable pace with minimal direct supervision.
Capable of performing as Quality Auditor, as described by current job description.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
Technical school, collage coursework, or related work experience is desirable.
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as procedures, safety rules, operating instructions, engineering drawings, and forms.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must be able to enter data into spreadsheets or data bases, and to record calculated values accurately.
