The Hospital is currently in the early stages of a multi-year, phased rollout of an inpatient Electronic Medical Record. The Director of Clinical Information Systems will be responsible for overseeing the clinical aspects of designing and implementing the EMR. In that capacity, s/he will interact with the clinicians and the clinical leadership of the individual hospitals as well as the health system to assure that the system meets the needs of clinicians, as well as supports quality and patient safety initiatives. The Director of Clinical Systems will work closely with the Quality Management department to support the development of evidence-based order sets, documentation tools, and clinical decision support. Additionally, the Director will work closely with clinicians involved in the implementation of other clinical systems (e.g. office-based EMRs, Obstetric documentation system, and etc.) to assure full interoperability and data sharing between care environments.

Qualifications:
Has an MD or DO and has completed an accredited residency program
Has a minimum of 5 years experience in clinical system implementations, including CPOE
Has excellent interpersonal skills
Is able to work collaboratively to build consensus among clinicians from multiple disciplines and hospitals
Is highly motivated for success in a complex, dynamic environment
Continued clinical practice is not required but is a plus
