6-Month contract position for a Quality Engineer in Redmond, WA. Review the description below and send a resume in Word Format if interested. Note, Previous Medical Device Experience Required.
Job Description:
Develop, and implement methods to assure the maintenance, enhancement and compliance of quality and reliability standards on currently manufactured or procured components, subassemblies and products. Design and supervise construction, verification, documentation and application of custom inspection and test equipment. MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Establish and direct the implementation of failure tracking and analysis systems. Review trends and coordinate investigation, analysis, and corrective action. 2.Establish plans for improvement of quality and reliability to meet product objectives. Coordinate activities of Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance. Direct the product audit program. 3.Establish test protocols to evaluate design changes and manufacturing process changes for safety, quality, reliability, and regulatory considerations. 4.Review engineering changes for interchangeability and other configuration management considerations. 5.Provide design, construction, or evaluation support in the development or procurement of general, environmental, or computerized test equipment and related software. 6.Direct the analysis of customer complaints. Coordinate investigations and reporting of findings and recommendations. 7.Provide direction to other departments as to workmanship standards, acceptance criteria, and general quality policies. 8.Develop test methods, techniques, and procedures for receiving and in process inspection and provide technical support and direction in the resolution of technical problems with components and dedicated test equipment. 9.Perform other related duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience, with additional training in quality engineering. 2+ years experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing or design environment
PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient use of electrical, mechanical or environmental procedures, quality control testing equipment and methods. Good analytical skills Good technical writing skills Good verbal communications skills.
