Position Opening

Good Harbor is seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in the elements of a commercial nuclear security culture. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a related field, 3-5+ years of related commercial nuclear security experience and be prepared to personally commit to living overseas. Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently with little guidance and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION DETAIL

TITLE
Culture Procedures Associate
Incumbent must be able to pass a security clearance/background check.

LOCATION
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Seeking personnel who can provide a 2-year minimum commitment to the program.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Competitive salary based on experience plus expatriate housing, transportation and health care

QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced degree in a related field preferred
• 3-5+ years experience in commercial nuclear plant environment/culture for a large organization
• Experience working in an international setting (especially Middle East) is advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communications (both written and oral) skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the development of a robust nuclear security culture defined by the International Atomic Energy Agency as “the assembly of characteristics, attitudes, and behaviors of individuals, organizations and institutions which serves as a means to support and enhance nuclear security”
• Assist in establishing expectations for excelled performance and a clear understanding of the interdependence between nuclear security, safety and nuclear operations once the reactor(s) is operational
• Evaluate the current industrial security culture to understand the structure, expectations and performance against international expectations for managing a nuclear workforce
• Assist in developing a Nuclear Culture Program Plan
• Assist in developing security culture and awareness requirements
• Assist in developing a training program and assist in the training of all nuclear power plant fleet personnel
• Perform other duties as required
