Position Opening

Good Harbor is seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in technical processes, procedures, and protocols. The Security Master Plan (SMP) Technical Assistant will work with managers and engineers to develop requirements definition, design criteria, implementation methods, technical evaluation, and data integration for the SMP of a commercial nuclear power enterprise. This includes customer relations, managing political agendas, technical system quality, trade-off analysis, policies and procedures and interfacing to project management. The SMP will function as a strategic planning guide.

TITLE
Security Master Plan Technical Associate
Incumbent must be able to pass a security clearance/background check.

LOCATION
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Seeking personnel who can provide a 2-year minimum commitment to the program.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in nuclear and/or security related subject, Bachelor or Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 3-5+ years of commercial nuclear security experience
• Experience working in an international setting (especially Middle East) is advantageous
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and with large teams under direction
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic working environment on multiple projects across functional areas
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communications (both written and oral) skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as technical assistant to nuclear security directors and principals, developing processes and procedures supporting the SMP
• Assist in establishment of SMP framework for addressing plant and system interfaces, physical protection technologies, training, access controls, mitigation strategies, site assessments, personnel security, engineering drawings, emergency preparedness, and response force operations
• Assist in conducting a survey of existing, international commercial nuclear power enterprise facilities and security policies, protocols, and guidelines for best practices and operations, to include market survey of state-of-the-art physical protection technologies, systems, and devices
• Assist in conducting a survey of UAE and international regulatory authorities and their existing security plans and protocols to ensure integration and compatibility
• Assist in development of Explosive Blast and Impact Analyses, Site Assessment, Mitigation Strategies, and Audits for the UAE’s Nuclear Safeguards and Security Program (NSSP) legacy and operational structures
• Assist the development of procedures and plans related to the implementation of the NSSP SMP, covering pre-construction, construction, and operations
• Provide assistance with the implementation of NSSP protocols to ensure continued compliance with international standards
• Perform other duties as required
