Position Opening
Good Harbor is seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in commercial nuclear security oversight and assessment. The position will support the development of a comprehensive and consistent commercial nuclear safeguards and security oversight and assessment program for the UAE in order to establish a culture of continuous process improvement throughout their commercial nuclear power program. The program may include site audits, inspections, operational awareness activities, onsite reviews, assessments, surveys, and self-assessments, with the goal of identifying operational or security risks and other such areas for improvement and then correcting them before they become significant issues.

TITLE
Nuclear Security Oversight and Assessment Director, Site Assessments
Incumbent must be able to pass a security clearance / background check.
LOCATION
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Seeking personnel who can provide a 2-year minimum commitment to the program.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Competitive salary based on experience plus expatriate housing, transportation, and health care
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in nuclear and/or security-related subject; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 7-10+ years commercial nuclear security experience, with experience developing nuclear plant security oversight and assessment plans, performing audits, and developing and implementing corrective actions for issues identified (experience at Nuclear Regulatory Commission / NRC, Naval Reactors / NR, etc. a plus)
• Experience working in an international setting (especially Middle East) is advantageous
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic working environment on multiple projects across functional areas
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communications (both written and oral) skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop site-specific security assessment plans
• Perform site security assessments
• Develop and implement corrective actions for nuclear safeguards and security deficiencies
• Assist in developing guidance for, assessing the results of, and providing feedback on exercises and drills, audits, inspections, etc.
• Develop a formal Lessons Learned mechanism to ensure institutional memory of identified nuclear safeguards and security deficiencies
• Liaise with other government safety and security agencies as required
• Assist in client capacity building and conduct training as required
• Perform other duties as required or necessary
