Position Opening
Good Harbor is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in strategic planning for a newly formed agency and an interest in nuclear security. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a related field, 7-10+ years of commercial nuclear security experience and be prepared to personally commit to living overseas. Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently with little guidance and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

TITLE
Strategic Planning Director
Incumbent must be able to pass a security clearance/background check.
LOCATION
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Seeking personnel who can provide a 2-year minimum commitment to the program.
SALARY AND BENEFITS

QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced degree in a related field preferred
• 7-10+ years commercial nuclear security experience
• Knowledge of the various phases of strategic planning for a new organization
• Ability to understand the purpose of a new organization and to assist in establishing goals and objectives consistent with that mission in a specified time frame
• Ability to effectively communicate the organization’s goals and objectives with other team members, foreign government officials and their constituents
• Knowledge of the resources of a new organization and an understanding of how to use those effectively to achieve key priorities
• Experience working in an international setting (especially Middle East) is advantageous
• Nuclear or security background would be advantageous
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review existing national and international objectives and milestones identified in previous strategic plans and agreements, working to incorporate the stated goals into a new strategic plan
• Interface with stakeholders as appropriate – conducting interviews and workshops to assist in the development of planning capabilities
• Support the development of a comprehensive strategic plan for a new foreign government organization
• Support the strategic planning function within client organization and support the strategic planning Principal on a day-to-day basis
• Support production of an infrastructure protection strategy and assist in defining the organization’s role and responsibilities within the strategy
• Develop and assist key client staff in setting up liaison committees with government agencies and private industry
• Coordinate with Good Harbor’s project management and team members on a daily basis in order to assist in the team’s delivery of multiple advisory services to the client
• Perform other duties as required
