Position Opening

Good Harbor is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in reactors, specifically their infrastructure and operations. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a related field, 15+ years of commercial nuclear security experience and be prepared to personally commit to living overseas. Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently with little guidance and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION DETAIL

TITLE
Reactor Operations Principal
Incumbent must be able to pass a security clearance/background check.

LOCATION
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Seeking personnel who can provide a 2-year minimum commitment to the program.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Competitive salary based on experience plus expatriate housing, transportation and health care

QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced degree in a related field required
• 15+ years commercial nuclear experience
• Knowledge of reactor management with the ability to write plans that integrate safety and security processes and procedures in the plant
• Ability to interface with multiple governmental organizations to achieve a common goal
• Clear understanding of established regulations
• Experience working in an international setting (especially Middle East) is advantageous

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the development of a world-class nuclear power plant security program by providing technical expertise in relation to reactors, their infrastructure and operations
• Develop a safety and security plan that ensures all primary interface points for a nuclear power plant are addressed
• Assist in the development of abnormal operating event procedures, as well as restoration procedures
• Anticipate potential security concerns in the pre-construction and construction phase of the nuclear power plant reactors and work to develop solutions
• Coordinate with Good Harbor’s project management and team members on a daily basis in order to assist in the team’s delivery of multiple advisory services to the client
• Perform other duties as required
