Position Opening

Good Harbor is seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in physical protection security systems engineering for a national commercial nuclear power plant enterprise. The Design Basis Threat (DBT) Security Systems Integration Engineer will work at the highest level of technical management, providing requirements definition, design, implementation, technical evaluation, and integration. This includes customer relations, managing political agendas, technical system quality, trade-off analysis, and project management.

POSITION DETAIL

TITLE
Design Basis Threat (DBT) Security Systems Integration Engineer / Principal
Incumbent must be able to pass a security clearance/background check.

LOCATION
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Seeking personnel who can provide a 2-year minimum commitment to the program.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in nuclear and/or security related subject; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 15+ years commercial nuclear security experience, including experience working as Manager, Deputy Manager, or Technical Project leader for a large organization
• DBT experience
• Experience working in an international setting (especially Middle East) is advantageous
• Knowledge of the construction/design industry preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, international working environment on multiple projects across functional areas
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communications (both written and oral) skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as technical lead engineering point of contact to the DBT Team Leader
• Serve as security systems technical expert on a field operations DBT team
• Serve as technical lead engineer and coordinator for all nuclear security related issues within threat assessments, design basis threats, physical protection systems design, and security effectiveness assessments
• Interface to the Interagency Coordination Group (ICG), DBT Sub-Group, and other authorities with data collection
• Support development of an emirate-wide national DBT
• Oversee DBT security field team and set technical priorities
• Engage national and emirate-level military, security, law enforcement agencies and other security and safety stakeholders for DBT data collection
• Define, clarify, and document DBT, physical protection design, and risk assessment
• Assure good systems engineering principles and processes are applied
• Perform other duties as required
