Need Dates: October 2009 through September 30, 2010 (approximately).
Duties and responsibilities associated with this position include:
• Perform required activities to support development of Procedures for the new digital safety system project.
• Assist Operations Support Personnel in preparation of procedures for the new system and/or review developed procedures.
Required Qualifications
• Unescorted Access to a nuclear power plant.
• Demonstrated computer skills including proficient use of Microsoft Word (including styles, templates, etc.)
• Previous experience in developing / maintaining technical procedures (Operating / Testing / Alarm Response)
• Familiarity with industry procedure writing standards.
• Hold or have held Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License.
• Working knowledge of nuclear station systems, processes, and procedures.
• Demonstrated understanding of nuclear plant safety and personnel safety.
• An exemplary work ethic and high ethical standards.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience at a nuclear station with a B&W NSSS.
• Experience in working with Safety-Related I&C Systems at a nuclear power plant.
• Experience with Bailey Controls Company products and with the Bailey Nuclear I & C Systems (RPS, ICS, NNI, and others).
• Experience in I&C systems support at an operating nuclear station.
• Familiarity with licensing documents.
• Current Operations Qualified Reviewer.
Operations Procedure Development Tasks To Be Performed
• Receive And Review All Preliminary Input Documents and Data
• Receive And Review All Final Input Documents and Data
• Identify Procedures that require review and potentially New Procs
• Identify Procedures that require revision and New Procs.
• First Pass of All DRAFT Content Complete For Revised And New Procs
• All Final Procedure Drafts Complete And Peer Review is complete.
• Procedure DRAFTS completed Milestone – Deliver To Training
• Verification Complete In Accordance With Procedure Manual and other processes that are in place to ensure we create high quality procedures. These processes, procedure writer's checklists, reviews and cross reviews must be performed with the highest of standards to ensure all errors are identified and removed.
• Perform Validation Of Procedures on Simulator
• Perform QR Approval.
• Make Ready For Final Approval.
• Meetings / interviews by Training Group Developers / Instructors
• Initial Procedure Approval Milestone – deliver to Training
• All Procedures are On-The-Shelf And Ready for Approval
• Other duties as assigned
