Contract / Temp to Perm / Permanent: Contract

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (4 positions)

Job Location: Southern Nuclear’s Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, located near Baxley in southeastern Georgia

Desired Qualifications:
•BS in Engineering is required
•At least 4 years of experience working with Equipment and Systems, and Instrumentation Equipment and Systems
•At least 2 or more years experience in nuclear power design, construction, engineering, maintenance and/or operation
•Experience with BWR systems is desired
•Good analytical abilities required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Strong technical background in engineering
•Knowledge of nuclear power generating facilities
•Ability to solve problems and make sound engineering judgments based on experience and proper application of industry practices
•Expertise to address operational, maintenance, and reliability issues for plant components and systems

Estimated Start Date: 09/2009
Estimated Duration of Work Assignment: 06/2010
