JOB DESCRIPTION
Develop and process Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechanical maintenance procedures (and revisions) for all types of plant systems, components, structures, and other associated equipment or processes as needed for a Procedure Upgrade Project (PUP). Work under the direction of a PUP Project Manager with assistance and oversight by the Work Control Programmatic Support Manager and the WC Maintenance Procedure Team (MPT) Supervisor. Coordinate work with the WC MPT personnel, Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Technical Support, Engineering, QA, Cross Disciplinary groups, and Maintenance Management to develop and process WC MNT procedures. Follow WC MPT Quality Procedure Checklist for procedure development in conjunction with all associated requirements of applicable NSDs, SDs, MDs, WPGs, and the Procedure Writers Manual. Coordinate and schedule Peer Checks, Verifications, Validations, QR Reviews, CDR Reviews, QA Reviews, and MNT Manager Approvals. Effectively use MS Word, Procedure Templates, Template Macros, and document storage software (NEDL Scribe). Effectively use Document Change Request program (DocuTracks). Maintain any assigned DocuTracks or PIP Corrective Actions and Problem Evaluations. Meet On-Line and Outage procedure scheduling milestones. Qualify to WC MNT Procedure Writer Position Specific Guide (PSG) requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School education or equivalent.
2. Have 5 years experience in Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical field.
3. Have 4 years Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical experience in nuclear.
4. Have 1 year Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical procedure experience.
5. Have obtained unrestricted access to a nuclear operating site within the past 5 years.
6. Have performed maintenance procedures at a nuclear operating site.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 2 year technical degree (e.g. Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical).
2. 2 years experience as a Nuclear Maintenance procedure writer within the past 7 years.
3. Experience that required strong problem solving and technical research skills.
4. Experience that demonstrates ability to work independently and be self motivated.
5. Experience that required writing in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
6. Experience that required working with others to accomplish team goals.
7. Experience that required effective time management and negotiation skills.
8. Experience managing heavy workloads and competing priorities.
9. Experience evaluating and interpreting standards, directives, and regulations.
10. Knowledgeable of manufacturer's specifications associated with procedures.
11. Experience with Microsoft and other application software (e.g., Windows XP, Office 2003, Outlook, MS Reports, Passport (WMS), etc).
12. Experience revising, upgrading, verifying, and validating maintenance procedures as well as developing new procedures from technical documentation.
13. Knowledgeable of TS/SLCs, Design Basis Documentation, Engineering Changes, and Environmental Qualification Programs associated with procedures.
14. Experience with Word 2003 and other procedure support programs (e.g. DocuTracks or similar tracking tool, NEDL Scribe or similar storage tool).
15. Experience writing procedures based on Site or Industry Procedure Writers Manual.
16. Knowledgeable of M&TE, Testing, Preventive Maintenance, Safety Tagging, ASME, Out of Tolerances, and Control Room Alarms associated with procedures.
17. Knowledgeable of Human Factors and Error Traps associated with procedures.
18. Knowledgeable of Reactivity Management, Risk & Configuration Management, and Regulatory Commitment requirements associated with procedures.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal 4/10 schedule with occasional overtime. Mostly office environment with routine visits to Maintenance team work areas and Engineering. Frequent visits to plant equipment or components, which includes work observations or walk downs. Significant time spent using a computer.
