Summary:
Applies in-depth technical knowledge and expertise to complex engineering design, modification, and construction projects for one or more of the following disciplines: digital control and monitoring systems, electronics, and/or electrical. Coordinates oversight and troubleshooting/problem resolution of engineering design modification and field installation projects or as-built design discrepancies in electrical and I&C engineering. Coordinates, administers, and provides technical problem resolution through design engineering processes and/or the site corrective action program (CAP). Monitors design & modification projects and recommends solutions to increase cost effectiveness; reviews design and documentation of complex projects to ensure compliance with design specifications; interfaces with design & modification engineers and design implementation craftpersons; and performs CAP evaluations and corrective actions on electrical / I&C design documents such as drawings, technical documents, specifications, and calculations.

Minimum Requirements: Requires Bachelors degree in Engineering plus eight (8) years electrical, electronic, or I&C engineering experience. Experience in design, modification, and field installation engineering a plus, as is digital monitoring and control systems and security and fire protection systems. Familiarity with NPP Security and Fire Protection regulations (including Appendix R) is suggested. Must possess in depth knowledge of standards of practices and methods in the area of commercial nuclear power plant engineering and regulations.
