Duties and responsibilities associated with this position include:
• Develop and process Work Control IAE Maintenance Procedures (and revisions) for Reactor Protection System (RPS), Engineered Safeguards (ES), other Instrumentation and Electrical (IAE) Systems, and Generic IAE procedures.
• Work with Work Control Maintenance Procedure Team personnel, IAE Maintenance Technicians, IAE Maintenance Technical Support, RES Engineering, QA, Cross Disciplinary groups, and Maintenance Management to develop and process Work Control Maintenance IAE procedures.
• Apply IAE Maintenance technical knowledge to procedure development.
• Incorporate and comply with the requirements of applicable station procedures (NSDs, SDs, MDs, WPGs) and the Procedure Writers Manual.
• Coordinate Periodic Reviews and Validations. Effectively use MS Word, Procedure Templates, Template Macros, and NEDL Scribe. Effectively use DocuTracks. Manage procedure backlog. Proofread documents. Schedule QR reviews with Engineering and Maintenance Technical Support. Perform PIP Corrective Actions and Problem Evaluations. Meet On-Line and Outage procedure scheduling milestones. Qualify to Work Control Maintenance Procedure Writer Position Specific Guide requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Unescorted Access to a nuclear power plant in the last five (5) years.
High School education or equivalent with at least five (5) years training or experience in Instrumentation or Electrical field.
At least four (4) years Instrument or Electrical experience at a nuclear power plant with at least two (2) years writing procedures.
Demonstrated computer skills including proficient use of Microsoft Word (including styles, templates, etc.).
Previous experience in developing / maintaining maintenance / technical procedures.
Familiarity with industry procedure writing standards.
Working knowledge of nuclear station systems, processes, and procedures.
Experience in working with Safety-Related I&C Systems at a nuclear power plant.
An exemplary work ethic and high ethical standards.
Desired Qualifications:
Two (2) year Instrument or Electrical technical degree (or greater).
Two (2) years experience working on RPS-ES, TSI, EHC, DCRDCS, TXS, or ICS.
Knowledgeable of M&TE, Testing, Preventive Maintenance, Safety Tagging, ASME, Out of Tolerances, and Control Room Alarms associated with procedures.
Completed procedure writing course, site qualifications, or industry certification.
Knowledgeable of TS/SLCs, Design Basis Documentation, Engineering Changes, and Environmental Qualification Programs associated with procedures.
Four (4) years experience working on digital loops, chart recorders, or instrumentation.
Knowledgeable of Human Factors and Error Traps associated with procedures.
Knowledgeable of Reactivity Management, Risk & Configuration Management, and Regulatory Commitment requirements associated with procedures.
Previous procedure writer experience.
Familiarity with Licensing documents.
