Job Description: Nuclear work planning, with a focus on development of work packages for preventive maintenance. This is taking preventive maintenance work requests/orders that are in a preliminary state of development and putting them into standardized work packages. A work package includes all of the parts of the work requirements so the associated documents are in a complete, ready to work state in the field. Included in the work package is information such as work instructions, identify spare parts requirements for the respective maintenance activity, procedure references, technical specifications, etc.

The work planner will plan work orders and tasks to ensure that the necessary preparation has taken place to support the completion of the associated plant maintenance activity meets established standards for safety, quality, and effectiveness. The work planner must be able to identify Post Maintenance Testing requirements. The work orders are entered into an on-line software system such as Indus Passport.

Skills preferred: Planner, work package developer, experience in planning of work. Preferred is several years of planning and developing work packages in Nuclear plants, fossil plants also is acceptable if there is some nuclear also. Past experience with PM Optimization projects is desirable. Preference is for Canadian plant experience in addition to US nuclear. Software preferred experience is Indus Passport, especially in recent last five years. We are accepting planners who are technically skilled in either electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation and controls.

*At least five years experience as a nuclear work planner required.

Duration: now through December 2010, contract could get extended
Hours of work: 50 hours per week, five 10 hour days, all straight time pay.
Location: Nuclear Power Station near Lake Huron in Ontario Canada.
Salary: $60-$67 per hour (in U.S. dollars), per diem $180 per day first 30 days, then drops to $120 per day for remainder of project. There is also mobilization and trip home package.
