Job Title Nuclear Professional - Nuclear Turbine Generator Implementation Manager


Description THE EPU PROJECT GROUP HAS AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A TURBINE GENERATOR IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER AT POINT BEACH. A DOCUMENT IS ATTACHED WITH THE JOB SPECIFICS PLUS THE INTENDED MILESTONES FOR THE PROJECT. THE POSITION IS PROJECTED TO LAST INTO 2011.

Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant
Position: EPU Turbine Generator Implementation Manager

Functional Requirements- Initial stage
Perform duties required per site technical coordinator for Siemens
Alliance contract scope of work to include the following:
1. Review and optimize outage schedule for
a. Generator rewind
b. HP turbine upgrades
c. High-lift valve mod
d. Inlet piping replacement
e. Seal oil system mods
2. Prepare and review detailed contingency plans for above scope of work
3. Review materials delivery plan and optimize staging of tools and
materials
4. Prepare laydown plan with Siemens input and coordinate with other
outage work
5. Review resource loading for
a. Crane bay
b. Gantry crane
c. Mobile crane
d. Laydown areas
6. Coordinate, prepare, or verify ready FPL/NextEra scope of work in the
NextEra/Siemens division of responsibility, to include:
a. Skid pans for coil removal
b. Disposal/asset recovery plans for materials removed from generator
c. Office space, sanitary facilities, LAN and phone connections
d. Training coordination
e. BEC/DZNPS carpenter, laborer, electrical and other support
f. Health physics support to scan and free-release materials
g. Scaffolding and other craft support
h. Scheduler (Primavera specialist)
i. Power rollers, saddles, rotor stands as needed
j. Cribbing, skids and pallets for disassembled parts
k. Forklifts for material handling
l. Insulation removal, asbestos abatement, and reinstallation
m. Support services
i. Welding gases
ii. Temporary power
iii. Ventilation and fans
iv. Lighting
v. Fire protection equipment
n. Support for generator loop test/thermal vision scan
7. Inventory and inspect OEM tooling and rigging

Functional Requirements (1R32 Outage, 3/1/10-5/1/10)
Perform duties required per site technical coordinator for Siemens
Alliance contract scope of work to include the following:
1. Provide backshift NextEra supervision and support of Siemens Field
Services personnel for
a. Generator rewind
b. HP turbine upgrades
c. High-lift valve mod
d. Inlet piping replacement
e. Seal oil system mods
2. Update schedule as required by outage management/reporting
a. Supervise primavera schedulers and provide technical input
b. Verify that field progress matches reported completions
3. Review daily work progress and report on earned value
4. Provide look-ahead for resources, clearances, testing
5. Maximize staff utilization
6. Provide field safety observations and coaching of Siemens Field
Services
7. Ensure compliance with work hour restrictions and manage fatigue
8. Initiate change orders for emergent delays and scope changes

Perform duties required per site technical coordinator for Siemens Alliance contract scope of work
