Job Title: Civil (Structural) Engineer
Job Location: Nuclear Plant Site, located near Baxley in southeastern Georgia
Immediate 9 month contract position!

Qualifications:
• BS in Civil Engineering is required
• Professional Engineering Registration is desired
• Previous Nuclear Power Plant design/retrofit experience is required
• Familiarity with seismic design methodology is desired
• Working knowledge of civil and structural design codes and requirements is required
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding commercial nuclear power plant design is desired
• Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental standards is desired
• License renewal experience is desired

The candidate must have at least 10 years experience in the areas below:
• Experience with the development and maintenance of design related calculations is required
• Experience with structural analysis and design software such as GT STRUDL or similar is desired
• Experience with field evaluation/resolution of steel and concrete structural design issues is desired
• Experience with piping layout, design, and knowledge of applicable codes and standards is desired

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven organizational skills with ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
• Capable of working efficiently and effectively across organizations
• Strong problem solving, decision making abilities
• Basic understanding of design/design configuration, project management, maintenance and procurement processes associated with large industrial plant equipment
• Ability to solve problems and make sound engineering judgments based on experience and proper application of good engineering practices

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT
• AutoCAD experience is desired
• Proficiency in the use of MathCAD is desired
