Position Overview
MCE Staffing is currently recruiting for proposal based work located at a DOE site in New York. We are seeking Sr. and mid-level engineers who possess a minimum of 15+ years experience in nuclear Decontamination and Decommissioning of facilities.
Overall Job Functions
Working with client operations and maintenance personnel in planning, writing, design, fabrication and work in the field to address significant radiological challenges for the following tasks:
• Engineering and technical support for remote tooling to be utilized for D&D of Head End Cells, Extractions Cells, Acid Recovery Cell, Liquid Waste Cell, Off-Gas Blower Room, and Off-Gas Cell.
Provide technical, engineering and drafting services to client for tasks associated with D&D of facilities, including:
• Process Plan Building utilities isolation and removal, waste water treatment and HLW tank remediation, remote waste packaging operations support and other facilities/areas identified by client organization.
Provide engineering and technical support for remote tooling to be utilized for Waste Packaging in the Remote Handled Waste Facility or other similar areas, for the Waste Tank Drying Project and for the Plume Mitigation Project.
Candidate must possess extensive experience in DOE/Commercial Nuclear D&D, knowledge of DOE waste tank farm and water treatment systems.
Additional background experience in the following areas for multiple positions include:
Instrument controls and high hazard equipment design and repair, nuclear construction, operations and engineering. Knowledge of remote handling of waste and high level waste canister storage systems. Performing high level waste project designs in tank farm and vitrification projects, field engineer, design tooling and system. Design and process engineering and problem solving of background in design and development of tooling and systems.
Individual skilled in DDMS viewer document system.

Requirements
BS, Engineering Discipline plus minimum 15+ year’s direct experience
Other Skills/Abilities
Contract award is expected in December 2009 with work beginning in spring 2010 or sooner and potential of three (3) one year extensions after first year.
Hourly rates and fringe benefits will be set per proposal and will change each year
