CONTRACT POSITION: Welding Planner Opening for long term project
PROJECT: Nuclear Steam Turbine Rotor Replacement Project
LOCATION: Midwest Nuclear Utility
DURATION: ~ 1.5 YEARS
START DATE: 12/2009
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide staff augmentation services to the turbine rotor replacement project (trrp) for activities related to modifications planning. In addition to planning, these same individuals will oversee the execution of the work packages in the field during refuel outage in spring 2011.
This project will require planning services and includes the requested number of personnel:
1 WELDING PLANNER
INDIVIDUAL SHALL HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
• Preparation of work packages for nuclear modification-type projects.
• Breaking down tasks into logical steps and sequences and converting this information into clear, concise job steps.
• Building safety and quality standards into field instructions.
• Ordering of parts, materials, and other vender support for projects.
• Identification of needed procedure changes and drawing updates.
• Identifying security and other logistical constraints for the execution of work in a nuclear facility.
• Reviewing and incorporating supplier documentation into work packages.
• Experience in heavy industrial environments and contractor oversight.
• Experience working in nuclear work control processes (planning, scheduling & execution).
• Experience in turbine centerline and support systems is preferred.
• Possess computer skills using Microsoft Office Pro, Scheduler, and Ventyx Empac
BACKGROUND/QUALIFICATIONS:
In general, individuals selected for performance of functions under this contract will be technically qualified to perform required tasks, good communicators, possess a questioning attitude, have a positive safety culture attitude, and have initiative to document deficiencies utilizing the site corrective action process. These positions will report to the project manager – turbine rotor replacement project.
