Contract / Temp to Perm / Permanent: Contract

1)This project management position is responsible for managing the study, design, and implementations of large scale, $5M-30M, projects at Brunswick Nuclear Plant within the Major Projects Group.

Candidates should have 10+ years of project management experience and previous experience in the nuclear industry. Skills in project management, general design engineering and project implementation are desired.

A project management background associated with critical power plant system upgrade projects, especially experience with digital system upgrades such as from electro-hydraulic controls (EHC) to digital hydraulic controls, main generator voltage regulators or HVAC chiller systems is highly preferred.

Experience with large scaled plant modifications or installations such as turbines will be considered. Prior experience at Brunswick Nuclear Plant or any of Progress Energy’s nuclear stations will add value in our consideration. Individuals applying should have strong leadership skills, be effective at building teams and maintaining positive working relationships, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project and Indus Passport computer programs is desirable. PMI certification or equivalent knowledge and experience is expected.

Start Date: Jan 4, 2010. Location: Southport, NC @ Brunswick Nuclear Plant, working in Major Project Group.

The pay rate for this position is depend on experience and abilities. The BNP upgrade project plans are for a design phase in 2010 and 2011 with implementation in 2012 and 2013.

This is expected to be a multi year assignment. 2)A second person with 5-10 years experience with the same description is needed.
