QA Engineer needed to support the Quality Assurance Manager in the implementation of:
a. Independent Assessments
b. Corrective Action process implementation(cause analysis and corrective action development/implementation)
c. QA program implementation(procedure/process reviews/modifications)

This work is to provide program support services where the products to be generated by the services are subject to control by established company program controls and review/approval processes. The Quality Assurance Engineer will be expected to work with Operations, Engineering, Safety, Radiological Controls, Environmental Compliance, and Quality Assurance personnel and all levels of company management in the performance of Assessment and Corrective Action program implementation.

The QA Engineer shall provide the required experienced technical and program personnel with appropriate education and/or experience to support implementation of the corrective action and assessment program processes. The following activities are typical of items that a Quality Assurance Engineer is expected to perform, all of which are performed in accordance with company procedures and processes:

•Lead activities associated with planning, performance, and reporting Independent Assessments
•Perform causal analysis of problems identified as being adverse to quality for activities/proocesses used to implement QA program processes,
•Provide coaching/mentoring of management and technical support personnel on the implementation of key QA program elements such as Training, Procurement, Engineering Design, and Software Quality Assurance.
(REQUIREMENTS)
The assigned QA Engineer shall be current in Certification as a Lead Auditor/Assessor using NQA-1 certification protocols. Additionally, the QA Engineer shall have documented training and experience in performance of causal analysis and corrective action plan development and experience/proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
QA Engineer shall have as a minimum a BA/BS plus 8 years of overall technical experience. Of the 8 years experience, at least 3 years in quality assurance, quality control, oversight activities or regulatory programs. Additionally, the individual should have a minimum of 4 years nuclear experience at commercial/DOE facility or in related activities such as environmental clean-up of a nuclear facility. A combination of education and experience may be considered for equivalency.
