[Safety Manager] Escort Supervisor - SNL - 8300

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Escort Supervisor opportunity in Albuquerque, NM for the Sandia National Laboratory (SNL).

Citizenship: United States Citizenship is required
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain “Q” clearance (active clearance preferred)

SUMMARY
The Escort Supervisor(s) shall oversee the assignment of escort personnel to meet schedule requirements, provide communication with NTESS personnel regarding escort assignments, perform field audits of escort personnel (as defined in the Subcontractor Performance section of the SOW), create field audit reports, document incident reports, resolving schedule issues, validate escort time billed, and ensure that invoices are submitted on a bi-weekly basis, address Subcontractor personnel issues, oversee compliance of all required training, and correct performance deficiencies. Escort Supervisor will provide guidance and training to all Escorts. This position will also require the ability to have extensive comprehension of Government contracts and ensure that all Escorts are fully versed on policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Responsible for training new escorts.
Along with Project Manager be the POCs for Sandia Delegated Representative (SDR) and all Security Escorts for Sandia National Laboratories.
Work with Escorts to provide all information to the Scheduler and maintain work schedules and allocate employees to different shifts.
Prepare and submit reports that have to do with employee performance, and attendance.
Take responsibility for leave requests from employees and general work timekeeping (scheduling)
Ability in Understanding of Contract documents.
Ability to write procedures for training and new employees.
Understanding in security protocols for Sandia National Labs for reporting incidents and injuries
Work closely with recruiter to fill any existing vacancy in an appropriate way.
Provide assistance to Operations Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A degree from an accredited 4-year program in Business Administration or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year management experience, demonstrated management skills, strong interpersonal relationship skills and managing a public safety and/or security-related workforce.
Minimum 5 years’ performing work in public safety and/or a security-related position.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license and the ability to obtain/hold a DOE Q Clearance.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers, and staff members. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, state, and federal agencies.

REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must have strong strategic and analytical skills and sound business judgment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The PM or his/her designee will be on-call twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. The employee will work in an office environment; however, there may be some periods of work which will be outside in varying conditions of hot and cold weather. Some travel to project locations may be required as well as some evening, weekend, and holiday.
