Program Manager Multiple Location within the state of Georgia

Project/Work Scope: Ash Pond Remediation Projects

"BCP is looking for a Decommissioning and Demolition Program Manager for the technical development and management of various decommissioning and demolition projects including ash pond closure. This individual will be responsible for the successful execution of owners engineering services for the utility. Tasks may include development of decommissioning & demolition plans; conducting regulated materials assessments; preparing remediation, ash pond, and landfill closure plans; generating contractor bid documents; management of contractor bid process, project implementation management, QA/QC, project management and business development (including proposals). Specific areas of responsibility include the following, with other duties as assigned by senior management:

Lead project teams developing plans and specifications for power plant decommissioning/demolition projects. Review and comment on abatement and demolition execution plans developed by contractors. Lead support for the implementation of plant abatement / demolition / remediation (ash pond, coal pile and landfill closure) activities. Lead project teams generating decommissioning cost estimates for utilities to be used for future project planning.

Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems.
Interface with clients on project activities including data gathering, site investigation and project status. Organize projects, develop staffing plans, and develop standards and guidelines. Develop, guide, and coordinate design workflows, processes, and procedures for interdisciplinary coordination and coordinating with other offices. Monitoring progress of projects to meet intended scope, stay within budgets, and maintain schedules.

Should have experience in compliance obligations, legal compliance, and post closure care. Prior coal plant experience is a huge plus!

Education Requirements: Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable, but must have a HS diploma.
Prior coal plant experience is a PLUS.

Position requires unescorted access to the protected area of a nuclear plant.

Estimated Start Date: May / June 2024
Hours: 40-50 hours/week
Estimated Duration of Work Assignment: Initially One Year
Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidates requested rate
Per Diem: $93.94 / day ($657.60 per week)
Mob / Demob: $500.00 each ($1,000 total)
Expenses: GSA expenses reimbursed for travel
