Project Overview

Provide Management and Operations of six Defense Reutilization & Marketing Service Offices (DRMOs) in Southwest and Central Asia. The contractor will run DRMO operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. The Iraq DRMOs are as follows: Anaconda, Al Asad, Speicher and Victory. The DRMO in Afghanistan will be located at Bagram and the sole DRMO in Kuwait is located at Arifjan. The contractor will also be required to provide service to Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) in Iraq and must have the flexibility to support the U.S. Military wherever deployed in the AOR.

Position Summary

Demil Coordinator will directly oversee Demil performance and insure compliance with current DOD guidelines. Will certify compliant Demil destruction and processing, as authorized by the Government. Will be responsible for Demil training and all Demil operations.

Key Result Areas (Responsibilities)

Will directly oversee Demil performance and insure compliance with current DOD guidelines.

Ensures contractual obligations are met in the destruction of Demil required property.

Responsible for the certification and or verification of Demil performance and all related documentation.

Responsible to insure all inventory actions are input to the accountable record as they occur and inventory accuracy is maintained through out the Demil process for both non Demil and Demil required property and scrap.

Responsible for efficiency review and process improvements and that they are coordinated with the appropriate Regional Manger.

Responsible for establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quick reference guides related to Demil operations..

Responsible for Demil training, scrap handling and to insure any safety issues are in compliance for all Disposal operations.

Result: An effective, streamlined and professional operation.

Job Context/Working Environment

Office Location – Various, but must be prepared to travel off site up to 50% to 75% of the time.

Job Requirements :

Mandatory Knowledge, Skills and Experience

An understanding of the day to day operations of a DRMO to include regulatory and statutory requirements and an ability to communicate this knowledge. A minimum of 1 year of Demil or related military experience is required.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, Attributes, Experience Level

A minimum of 2 years experience in DRMS is desired. A detailed understanding of the automation systems used in the DRMO. An understanding of the methods used to support the following Operations:

Receiving Property in Place
