URS is currently seeking a LEAD PAVEMENT ENGINEER -AIRFIELD DESIGN.

One year deployment, single status

Location: Balad Air Base, Iraq

Requirements:
• PE LICENSE REQUIRED
• US Citizen - and "Clearable"- National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) OR by possessing an active U.S. security clearance.
• Physically fit and able to travel and work overseas in a harsh, desert environment.
• Current US passport, not to expire within one year of deployment.
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering. shall be a PE licensed to practice in the US and have a minimum of 5 years design experience with flexible (asphalt) and rigid (concrete) pavements. This includes knowledge of soils, hydraulics, and material properties.
• The engineer shall design new pavement projects as well as rehabilitation and maintenance of existing pavements. Experience with airfield pavement design, maintenance and repair is required.
• The lead pavement engineer shall review and sign designs produced by the staff pavement engineer
